Editor’s Farewell

brett-graduation.jpgNow that both my boys have graduated, I wanted to personally reach out and thank the CVHS Wrestling community for your support over the last 5 years.  You have all given endless hours to our various wrestling events — 2 Northern Region Tournaments, 2 CVHS Wrestlefests, Basket Bingo, Fundraising, and Tournament Trips.  I cannot thank you enough for your support and steadfast commitment to our wrestling program and team.  I have seen our Team’s success grow every year and I am so proud to have been a small part of this.  I leave the Team and CVHS with a great group of parents (and coaches!!) to continue its winning tradition.  I wish all of you the best of luck and look forward to seeing some great matches next year as a spectator!

Miller Commits to UNC-Greensboro

brett-uncg-announcement.jpgSenior Brett Miller, after taking a second visit to the beautiful campus at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG), committed to wrestle for the Spartans beginning in the 2008 season.  UNCG, part of the NCAA Division I Southern Conference, sent three wrestlers to the NCAA Tournament this year.  Coached by Jason Loukides, the Spartans finished this past season with a 10-4 dual record and a 3-1 conference record. Combined, UNCG recorded 209 wins, 27 major decisions, and 42 falls.  We wish Brett the best of luck!
