WILDCATS HANG TOUGH

Classic Competition

NOVA ClassicThe Varsity Wildcats competed in the Annual NOVA Classic, held again at Fairfax High School. This two-day tournament features over 30 teams in and around the Northern Region and around the State. After the first two rounds the Wildcats were leading the tournament in team scoring but tough third round losses dropped the Wildcats to an 11th place finish overall. However, the squad had its best showing in over 4 years with 6 wrestlers finishing the day as place winners. Congratulations to all the wrestlers who competed and those who brought home more hardware:

Jackson Islin (130) 8th Place
David Micklus (140) 7th Place
Mike Dikeman (152) 6th Place
Emilio Garcia (160) 6th Place
Brett Miller (171) 3rd Place
Martin Seneca (189) 8th Place

Pictures from the NOVA Classic can be found here. Stay tuned to CatsMat as we provide more pictures in the days to come!
